Grid load management for a single EV rapid charger.

Allego installed a 50kW rapid charger, on the motorway in Kircheim.
The connection capacity was insufficient to supply the charger.
The problem was how to ensure that the use of the charger did not cause the grid constraint to be exceeded.

An E-STOR system was installed in active load management mode. Operating in this way the chargers are controlled by the E-STOR system via OCPP and only allowed to charge the vehicle when the combined power available from the grid and the E-STOR are sufficient to ensure the constraint will not being exceeded.
