“As well as helping to balance supply and demand of energy in the physical supply chain, energy storage also exerts an important calming and confidence-building influence within the energy markets,” said Madeleine Greenhalgh, policy lead at the Electricity Storage Network (ESN). 

The impact of panic buying from drivers of diesel and petrol vehicles has highlighted how important it is to maintain confidence and calm. It has also highlighted the opportunity for electric cars to be part of the solution, not the problem.
